The BuSSy Project first started as an annual student activity at the American University of Cairo (AUC). It provided women with a safe space to share their untold personal stories.

The activity ran every year during 2006 –2009. BuSSy collected stories and held workshops with storytellers, who shared their stories on stage in annual performances.
