Fashoush is a twenty-minute performance that revolves around the theme of heroism. The performance draws a parallel between Egypt's political history and the protagonist's love life. The protagonist recalls aloud memories of her great uncle Abdel -Hakeem Amer, the vice president of former president Gamal Abdel Nasser, and one of Egypt's most controversial political figures.
