Mapping Cairo with Stories at the Toulon Exhibition

In early 2016, BuSSy was commissioned by Theatre Liberte in Toulon, France, to collect a series of "impressions" (short reflections) from individuals all over Cairo. The collected impressions were to be part of a public exhibition titled “Egypt Week” held in the theater’s hall.

BuSSy’s team collected impressions from all over the city and from people of all walks of life. The impressions aimed to give a nuanced depiction of the city by highlighting the voices of local people who know Cairo best. The impressions were in Arabic and English and displayed in French.
