In 2014, BuSSy teamed up with Egyptian advocacy organization Nazra for Feminist Studies to organize a storytelling workshop about masculinity. The output of the workshop was a performance titled ‘Man up’.
The performance told stories of women and men from the community about masculinity.
The performance tour began in August with a sold-out show at the Greek Campus in Cairo.
‘Man up’ travelled to Assiut, Suez and Alexandria to perform there and open a safe space for the audience to share their personal experiences in an open mic after the show.
