Rahet Bally, The BuSSy project and What Women Want magazine organized a storytelling day to celebrate working moms who just won’t get a break. Moms were invited to join a day of sharing stories that they often times don’t find the space in their lives to share.
In a women’s only event, we began with a reading of a selection of stories from our archive about work, motherhood and the impossible task of having to navigate society’s stigma and expectations of being a working mom. Afterwards, attending mothers began sharing their stories, struggles, and achievements with other women who are in a similar situation.
The event offered a great opportunity for women to come together and tell stories and vent without fear of judgment or censorship while having Rahet Bally’s team of professional babysitters look after their kids.
