I was going on a trip with some of my male and female friends.
I needed this break from work.
But the girls cancelled last minute,
So I went with the guys alone.
We didn’t stay in the same room.
Everyone had their own room.
When my parents found out,
Their reactions were,
“I’m disappointed in you.”
“How could you do such a thing?”
It’s not like they were going to rape me!
They’re my friends!
Back when my brother was in college,
All his close friends were girls.
If he were the one on that trip, I don’t think they would’ve told him,
“We’re disappointed in you.”
Or,
“How could you go with just girls?”
