The Good Ones

The Good Ones

They’re not all deceitful in there.
Some people are good, while others are bad.
Some people visited me when I was arrested.
They stood by me and visited my children when I received my sentence.
One of those people was a pharmacist who owned a pharmacy in 40 Street.
Her husband duped her into signing a trust receipt.
He used it to file a lawsuit against her because she wanted to get a divorce.
She stayed with me and Nagah Rokab for a while.
Some people wanted to deceive her in there.
She stayed with me and Nagah and we arranged a bed that would take the three of us.
She visited my children at home when she got out.
My lawyer was at my mother’s house that day discussing his fees.
My friend, the pharmacist, called her father and asked him to bring her money so she could pay the lawyer.
She took the lawyer’s number and gave him his money.
We only got to know each other in detention, not even in prison.
People aren’t all the same.
Not everyone is bad.
There are good people who stand by you.
They know how to be there for you during difficult times.
