I already knew these things before the lesson.
My mother had sat me down and told me she wanted to talk to me about something.
She talked about some embarrassing, incomprehensible things.
I was having lunch, so I wasn’t really listening to her.
“You’re all grown up now and some people might try to touch you.
Don’t let anyone touch you.”
A couple of months later, my sister asked my mother, “Did you tell her?”
“Yes, I told her everything,” she said.
“Where do babies come from?” my sister asked me.
And it turned out I didn’t understand a thing.
