Growing up, I was taught that girls were responsible for preserving their honor.
I, as a man, have nothing to do with it.
My mother never brought up the word “honor” around me or my brother.
She never said, for example, “Preserve your honor”.
I was taught that a girl’s honor was tied up with her virginity, and that there was no such thing as virginity or honor when it came to men.
As long as there’s no blood, you’re good; sleep with whomever you want.
As a matter of fact, the more girls you sleep with, the more of a man you are.
