I didn’t know a thing about periods.
When I asked, all I got was its definition in the dictionary.
“Menstruation is a physiological change that the female body goes through during puberty if the egg isn’t fertilized.”
I didn’t understand a word.
All I knew was that I grew up and wasn’t allowed to play with the boys in the street anymore.
How am I grown up if I don’t understand a thing?
Even the lesson on reproduction was in French.
I memorized it just like I memorized the definition of menstruation without understanding a word.
