Working Mother

I was originally a programmer.
Since graduation,
I’ve only worked for a year at a full-time job.
Then I decided to work as a freelancer,
So that when I get married,
I could work from home.
This is a relatively new work approach.
I didn’t need to sit at an office to get things done.
I could set my own hours,
Work in my pyjamas,
And deliver the work when I’m done.

I would meet with clients at certain times,
Because I needed to be with my children,
Especially my baby boy.
Where would I leave him?
I didn’t want to take him to a nursery.

I shifted my career to jewellery-making,
Then shifted it again to crystal healing,
Because we’re all filled with negative energy.
I heard about energy healing,
But never tried it.
I didn’t think it was real.
I thought it was a scam.

I tried a reiki healing session,
And felt it was real.
I’ve always loved stones and crystals.
I love their colors,
And how they look.
Then I found out about crystal healing,
So I decided to read about it.
I could feel the effect of the session on me.
I felt changed.

I kept reading about it,
And received an online diploma.
I currently work as a healer,
And I have my own crystal healing center.
I give sessions at other centers and companies,
And give private sessions.
I manage to do this while my children are at school.
I can change my working hours whenever I need to.

My children go to school,
And play tennis.
Each one of them has their own practice hours and tournaments.
It’s the same thing with my daughter.
I’ve managed to build a good reputation as a crystal healer and jewellery designer.
I have my own source of income,
And a distinctive profile.
I’m a mother as long as I’m home when my children are,
Until they go to practice.
I’m a mother to them,
And at the same time,
I have my own established business.

I don’t think that being a working mother requires going to an office.
We can work as freelancers.

My son is about to go to college,
And we’re thinking of the possible careers he can pursue.
Does he have to study medicine or engineering?
No.
Yoga trainers now make more money than engineers and doctors.
You no longer have to be a doctor or engineer.
