A Successful Single Mother

I got divorced five years ago.
I’m a mother of two girls: 17 and 13.
I’m 49 years old and I live with my parents.
I’ve been working with NGOs for eight years now.

My husband had a hereditary mental illness that was triggered by drugs.
Life with him wasn’t easy, but I stood by him every step of the way.
I was with him when he was admitted to a hospital.
I was with him while he received treatment.
Our financial situation was in terrible shape.
I decided to get a divorce because he didn’t want to change.

I’m raising my children and providing for them.
I see myself as a successful single mother.
